Does anyone know when distribution boxes became mandatory for septic tanks? As far as I know tanks never had distribution boxes at the percolation area

SR6:1975 was the first SR to "encourage" that soakpits were discontinued thereby introducing percolation areas with multiple pipes. Distribution box needed for this. Even at that, discretion was allowed considering circumstance. Laughable really in this day day that basically recommendation there but you didnt have to abide by it...:D
