If using a hydraulic top link for mowing etc, ensure that it has a check valve fitted to prevent it extending/contracting by itself.
I prefer a standard top link for them jobs. MF top links come in 3 different lengths. Maybe you're one is a short one?

Get a hydraulic top link to bend and bust every bit of machinery you have!

The one we have is just a manual one.. have you any recommendations on what length to get?

I'd imagine the middle one is the correct one for a 390.

One criteria is that when it's at it shortest it doesn't pull anything that extends up in the air - like a bale splitter - in the back window!

Have a short one, mounted the valves on the side. Honestly it’s the hand little tool around the yard. Never broke or bent anything with it. Just take your time no dashing. Never take it off the tractor

I bought a rossmore double bale carrier with hydraulic top link, every time I bring in a bale the hydraulic link r slowly starts to extend and I have to put the bale on the ground
