Can sun damage tins of paint?

I've had a few tins of paint in a spare room for the last couple of months. There's no curtain on the windows, so it probably would've been exposed to fair bit of sunlight like.

I've opened up one of the tins and it seems alright - like texture and whatnot. But I don't want to spend the day putting it on my walls only to find out after that the sun has f*cked it.

smell it. If rotten then bin, if not then paint. Stir very well though
