Connecting Turtle Beach Help !!!

Sorry but the headset connectivity on my son's Xbox One S is driving me demented.

He has the new controllers with the 3.5m jack on it and having gone through loads of headsets that seemingly didn't work, I bought him xbox One Turtle Beach recon 50X today and..... STILL silence.

I was of the opinion that if he plugged these into the jack he would get sound, I must be missing something in settings or somewhere, but I'm demented at this stage

It has to be in the sound settings on the dashboard. Also, make sure the controller has the latest FW update.

Thanks, I've tried all of the settings & both controllers say the firmware is fully up to date. The headphones, even the Turtle Beach ones, don't register as a device when plugged in so I'm at a loss

Thanks, hadn't seen that before but will try tonight - I'm sure I'd been through all of the audio options, but I'll definitely look again.
