Hi all this guy was up on my wall in my bedroom last night. It’s the second one I’ve found in the last two weeks - the last one was bigger! Does anyone know what type of spider it is? If you zoom in on the photo you can see it’s markings. I’m bricking it and checking my walls every night before I go to bed - never mind the “fear” when I go to the loo!!

One just like that in our living room a few days ago. Definitely the biggest I've ever seen! The missus nearly hit the roof when I pointed it out to her 😀

I feel your pain/fear OP - it's that time of year again when the big male house spiders start wandering around the house looking for a female. I wont feel safe until late November/December.

Get yourself one of these - best 15 euros I ever spent in Woodies - very effective and you don't have to kill the little creeps either (can be very effective against wasps too): http://www.argos.co.uk/product/3579057
