Ipad Mini 2 - horizontal lines on screen

    anyone have any experience of this?

    press home button while ipad is idle, lock screen appears with horizontal lines across it. type in pass code, horizontal lines still there.

    press power button to put it in idle, then press again and lines have disappeared and remain off the screen while in use.

    hasn't been dropped (that i'm aware of anyway) and no water damage.

    anyone have any ideas on this? I brought it to Compub, the guy there hadn't seen it before but did a reset thru the settings and it seemed to get rid of the lines. However, they are back today, but in a different pattern to previously.
