Hi, I need to distribute Soarview signal to additional TV points.

    I have a TV Link F280

    https://www.freesat.ie/pid-444-info.html

I’m fairly sure it’s working but when I plug Soarview input into it I am not getting any feed on outputs.

I am happy to replace the F280 if it is dead but want to make sure it’s not something else e.g would over amplifiying the signal via an distribution amp like this cancel the signal feed?

    Thanks

My reading of the technical details of the F280 is that its input is one only channel at RF. (See text copied for the F280 website.)  Maybe you need a multi-output wideband aerial amplifier.  I don't know what is presently available.
"Completely compatible with remote eyes, these DA's are built with the latest technology that amplifies the signal from your Sky digibox (or other receiver with RF modulator) allowing the same channel to be watched on up to 16 additional televisions at the same time."

That refers to the RF channel output from the Sky box, the Saorview frequencies should pass through unhindered

Have you confirmed it is getting power?

If you are near the Freesat shop ask if they would test it for you. Be sure to bring the PSU with it for testing.

    Thanks all for replies.

Power LED is illuminated. With confirmation above that device is suitable for Soarview distribution I think I will just replace the F280 with same.

I assume you've just brought the amplifier to your main TV, & tested it there, to minimise the 'unknowns'?

Yes I tried that. I was wondering if a strong signal was put through an amplifier = cancel signal...

Yes, I've seen it happening once here. Sorted at that time by reducing the variable gain on the amp, has that amp got a variable gain control?

    Have you tried a splitter - https://www.freesat.ie/cid-162-1-info.html
Do you require all 16 outputs?

Yes tried splitter which confirms no issue with coax cables.

No variable gain control on F280

Do need F280 to distribute to multiple TVs

That would point to an issue with the amp.

I changed out the PSU and now working.

Old PSU showed LED power light on amp but I guess it must not have been getting full 12V. Now working with a spare PSU I found lying around.

    Thanks for all help.
