Can anyone reccomend a dentist mainly in north Dublin but willing to travel southside.

I need a lower back wisdom tooth surgically removed, I have been ringing around all week trying to find some where at short notice.
I went to a place today but they sent me to the mater hospital with a letter to get an opg x-ray done but I was told they wouldn't do it today and would send me out an appoitment for one.

I then spoke to another local dentist on the phone who was asking why I needed opg xray and i explained the situation and she asked how much the other dentist was charging, which was 120 for surgical extraction.
She told me to be careful as that is way to cheap for that and she reccomened I think about it as she didn't want me ending up in more pain.
Its noting she could do her self, she doesn't do surgical work.

    Thanks

look for an oral surgeon, they remove impacted wisdom teeth, good few around dublin. They will have their own X-ray equipment.

Iv been looking on Google but after the call with the dentist she has me a bit worried.
Prices I'm finding are all up and down, im just afraid of going to some where like she said and ending up worse.

    €120? Nooo.

I had two wisdoms not fully extended, one causing pain. Due to their position the other two were at risk of over extension and more problems down the road. Not a fan of surgery etc so insisted on a general too (€500 I think). All in was just under 2K.

Seen by this fella, one consult and extraction a few days later.
    <snip>

There's meant to be paint etc, for three days, was fine after a few hours! Didnt take the painkillers after the first dose. Highly recommend.

Thanks for the recommendation ED E.

I'd check out your receipts though as I don't think I've ever charged anyone over €1k for a consult and any extractions under sedation...!

Otherwise my receptionist charged you on the double because you looked flash!! She does drive a Ferrari!.... mmmmm....!!;);)

Perhaps the dental hospital near Pearse St dart station would be a good place to check out

Do St James still perform oral surgery?

Yes, but it is through the maxillofacial department and they are exceptionally busy with oral cancer and trauma so again.... there are serious waiting lists....

Sorry to jump on here but if the waiting list is closed in the Dental Hospital for oral surgery, where are medical card patients then sent to have oral surgery in Dublin (for 2 years waiting)?
