Must i buy BMW genuine brake pads from BMW service?

    need to replace the front pads on a 2015 BMW 116d, the car has a 5 year service "pack" but doesn't include wear and tear parts (brake pads) , can i just pick up a set of pads from say otto and fit them myself (or indo garage) and wont effect the 5 year service pack going forward?

    must i buy BMW genuine brake pads from bmw service?

    Service pack is unaffected by any other service items you carry out.
    You may be mixing up warranty with service pack.
