I want to buy a few of them light battery swich kit but dont know what to call them. If i google light for fairy house they offer trails of fairy lights. I just want individual ones...any ideas? Thanks. Chloe

There are some flameless, battery-operated LED tealights, would those do? I got a few of those for a nativity set at Christmas. I got them in Heaton's, if it's of any use to you, but I'm sure lots of other places would have them (Guineys and Woodies, for instance).

I was just going to say those little flamless candel ones. If you can hide the base you would be flying it

. Hi thanks for short reply. I think the tealight candles are bit too big as i want to put them inside glass bubbles as in a terrarium. I will go to woodies or hardware too see if they have what i want. Thank you!!!

Keep an eye in Pennys, sometimes they have very small fairylights around holidays Halloween probably will be the next one. You will need to remove the pumpkin covers They tend to be in small boxes near the tills

I wonder, would they work if you removed the casing (the part that looks like the wax base)?

The alternative would be to get a small set of mini fairy lights - Penneys had sets of 10 white ones around Christmas, they probably still do, they were tiny but all the wires were braided together (something like these, but in white), so if you went for those you'd probably have to find a way to split them in individual bulbs and then you'd have to supply each of them with its own battery. These worked with two AAA batteries (there was a "battery box", for lack of a better expression), while the "tealights" worked with CR2032 button batteries. Unless you were planning to leave the batteries outside the baubles, it'd be hard to beat the size of these, especially if you want them with a switch.

I had a quick look on the internet, I think these might do you, too.

Hope you find something you like, anyway. :)

Try checking out some model train or wargaming suppliers, I've seen kits available online.

I used a set of tiny lights that were supposed to be spread amongst flowers in a vase - they were blue and would have looked horrible, but blue was what I wanted (princess bed canopy). If you want individual ones you are going to have to work out a switch unless you use one of the suggested tea lights. How would you see switching on and off in a terrarium?

A chainstore like "The Art & Hobby Shop" might be able to help. Branches in large shopping malls. Their counter staff tend to be a bit variable in quality.

If you are near Dublin, there is also a shop in Georges Street, "The Dolls Hospital"(?) - Near to "Back from the Future" computer store.
