Heating comes on with water AFTER new electrics installed

I have a Simi Format boiler - 10.5 years old.

The electrics board was replaced on Saturday.

Since then the heating comes on with the water, even though they are separately controlled and the heating switches are off. This never happened before.

Plumber has not come back yet but he says it sounds like an open valve. It's very coincidental though. Could the electrics be causing this?

I would doubt this has anything to do with a PCB board being swapped out, sounds more like a motorised valve has failed in the open position.
Coincidence does not mean he has done anything wrong.

I didn't mean to imply he had - I just don't have any personal knowledge of this.
