Milking for a neighbour. Cow with blood in front 2 quarters. (Not a fresh calver)
No curds but hard round blood clots like in photos. Any ideas?

Could she have been stood on?

Possible she got a puck or slip in the yard? With regard to the clots main thing is to make sure she milks out, if she doesn't keep an eye for mastitis. Perhaps cmt test the quarters if unsure.

Keep her milk anyway. Normally they clear up after a day or so

Yeah tested and came up clear.

Was thinking it might be a hurt but she must have done herself woeful damage if that’s the case.

The perfectly round clots in clumps has me scratching my head.

I’ll see what she’s like in the morning.

You'll be back milking at home yourself if you're not careful!!
