On 14 March I bought a mobile phone 500 euro from amazon co.uk.
From the start there were issues.
Also from the start the replies the seller gave were along the lines
    Contact manufacturer... (zte phone)

All the hassle of trying to get through to them came to nothing.

There was software on the phone to allow you CHAT with the manufacturer but it never worked.
    No reply from twitter.

Back to seller again and this time he says look for a fax number for them try Facebook.

So very unhappy with this attitude not being on Facebook and not being able to contact the manufacturer I asked amazon is my contract not with the seller ? Here under the sale/ supply of goods act it is.
Apparently amazon say contact manufacturer yourself nothing to do with us.

I with amazon years but about to leave over this carry on.
I have spoken to the district court clerk who advises small claims court.
    I am about to that.

Has anyone else here had dealings of this nature with this company?

    AMAZON . Co. Uk.

Love to hear them and your views on this .

    Thks

It sounds like you didn't actually buy from Amazon themselves but from a third party seller on their platform. I've found Amazon themselves to be very good about returns/refunds if there are issues with an item, and they have a guarantee system in place dealing with items from third party suppliers. If it is a third party seller who's been refusing to help you I'd try contacting Amazon directly either through their email or live chat and see if they can help.

Yes your right. I also found them very good. However this time very poor.
I just would like to know is your contract with the seller ( third party seller) or is it with the manufacturer

I've never returned anything to Amazon ever. I bought a projector for Xmas last year. It was a bit flaky and I thought about returning it but I kind of think there has to be something really wrong with it instead of just not being happy.

Anyway the power connection is loose so I've been taping it together to work at this stage and I'm afraid to use it . Probably only used it about 10 times because of issues. I contacted the manufacturer who say they never made the model I have.
I forwarded the email to Amazon and ask what can i do . Product no longer on sale there.
I'm in an endless loop with them where they apologise for my experience and ask me to forward on evidence that it's counterfeit. It was fulfilled by Amazon.
It's like dealing with a bot. They don't actually say anything .Just thanking me for alerting them . Is there anything I can do or just bin it And write off the money?

I'd suggest calling them or contacting them via chat,
If its Fulfilled by Amazon they should be able to help if its counterfeit,

E-mail them whatever evidence you have (reply from manufacture for ecample) and then contact them after sending the email so whoever you speaking to can see the evidence.

Very strange, I also bought a ZTE phone from Amazon.de, so not uk, which became faulty after 16 months.

Their reply was to send it back to them for a full refund

They don’t operate like that in UK

I had a very similar experience with the UK Amazon for a surface pro 4 purchased from the warehouse.

The battery had stopped charging 13 months after I purchased it. Again I was told to send it back for a refund.

The main thing is that it must be sold by amazon's themselves

I've only had good dealings with Amazon, have returned a few items for various reasons. I even cancelled an order that was already dispatched. Can you not just request a refund?

I think amazon are one of the best online retailers to deal with. A package was delayed this week by an post. When I contacted them via chat last night to see what was going on, they said how about we give you a refund and if it turns up just keep it! Refund processed, item arrived today. 10/10.

I was of the same view too. Had good experiences. I now have a phone worth 500 euro sitting on a shelf that doesn’t work and no refund / repair ... amazon just walked away ... so be aware
