    Hi,

On occasion my breaks stick first thing in the morning when moving off. Then when i break there is a grinding sound and feel coming from them which goes away after a short while.

Any idea what the problem is?

    Thanks

    Car age and brand?
Do you drive it every day?
    How far?

Your brake pads need to be changed,

This is the metal safety strip on the pads rubbing off against your Disks.

Get them swapped out as soon as you can, you may need new disks too depending on condition.

Car is a 2007 Kia Ceed 1.6crdi. Yes i do drive it everyday, mainly just little runs around town and go on long drives every now and again.

I get the car serviced every year and my 4 disks and pads were changed about 2 and a half years ago.

There is no way for us to tell how often you will need your brake pads changed. As it is entirely dependant on your driving. Typically lots of short, stop start journeys wear them out more. So it's entirely possible your brake pads are worn. I would get a mechanic to take a look.
