Does anybody know if it is possible to search for old building bye-law approval records from Dublin Corporation?
I am looking to see if approval exists for a house around 1990 - 1991, just before commencement of the building control regs.

I've found the record of commencement notices etc on the council's website but nothing that pre-dates this.

    email buildingcontrol@dublincity.ie

Give them the full address and any planning application that may be associated with the works. They do Bye-Law searched every Wednessday, and if they find them, they charge €12 for a certified copy. If there's no record, it means the works were not inspected by the Corporation at that time and there's no charge for the search.
