161 skoda octavia 60k km bought second hand about 10 months ago- new clutch?
Catastophic and sudden fail of clutch, no usual warning signs of over revving at gear change. Any process avail for recourse as even though car is under warrenty the clutch is not?
BTW, it wasn't riding the clutch (at least not by me) that caused this.

Clutch is a difficult area as it can be destroyed quite easily by incorrect usage.
VAG only warrants clutches for six months or 6500 miles, whichever comes first.
The price seems to be within range.

You can burn a clutch out in a day if you really wanted to! €925 seems expensive for a clutch however (I'm not familiar with the setup of those clutches however!)

That price probably includes replacing the flywheel too as well as the clutch.

If it includes the flywheel it sounds roughly the standard price!

If the car is a 1.6 manual (as most are), it won't have a dual mass flywheel so it won't have been replaced. Price seems extortionate but maybe you have another model that also has a DMF.
