Need bit of help with "terminology". So I got my mortgage closed in april.

Now my solicitor is returning a check in respect of the vacated Mortgage issuing by way of eDischarge. Can someone translate to simple English what does this mean, is this something I paid for - if yes, was it refereed by other name ?
If I remember correctly, I paid the solicitor following:
    a. Government Land Registry fees:
    1. On Transfer
    2. On Mortgage
    3. Copy Folio
    b. Searches (estimated)
    c. LPT apportionment
    d. Solicitors Fee
    e .Outlay
    f. VAT

    Thank you.
