Hi guys, I just wanted to know how strict the college is in terms of lighting one up or smoking marijuana on campus, I know some places are more forgiving and not so much into paying attention while others can be very strict, i.e campus security.

Any one got any advice on this? Asking for a friend.

The whole campus has plenty of security and cameras. And they seem to be fairly on the ball with regard doing their job. Don't be a dope (pun intended) and smoke it on college grounds. Getting caught on campus means getting kicked out. Smoke it off campus and it's got nothing to do with college.

I'm pro legalisation, but the law is the law.

Consider getting a vape pen, it doesn't stink and isn't green buds in a baggie.

As a matter of interest, are you allow smoke (tobacco) on the ground of UCC at all? I know NUIG have alot of the campus as a smoke free zone and it's almost completely outlawed in UL.

You can still smoke on campus. There are regular rumblings about making it a smoke free campus, but there's strong resistance to that. It makes for a fun batch of arguments on the staff mailing list every year or so.
