    Hi all
I have had two pairs of boots fail on me, just before and after a 27 km hike yesterday...my daughter was wearing my first pair, an old make called Grafters and they failed, simultaneously, by bursting the air cell in the soles, out of both sidewalls. I could see the wire reinforcement inside. beyond repair. I only found this out when I was putting my kit together for the walk, was searching for the boots and she handed them over, beyond use.....I used my second pair, a Northwest set, that was about three years old and the heel debonded on one and the sidewall peeled off the other. So, I guess it pays to check your boots thoroughly from time to time.

    regards
