Question Regarding Notice

Hi hoping somebody can help me on this one.

I recently started a new job. 4th week.

I am about to be offered another job pending medical which I should pass.

If on a probation period, how much notice do I need to give?

It states on the contract that outside my probation period it is 1 month notice.

    I would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks

    > If an employee has been working for an employer for less than 13 weeks and has no contractual obligation to give notice then the employee is not obliged to give notice.

So it sounds like if your contract says notice is only required after your probation has ended, it looks like you can just walk.

I think you should talk to them. If they ask you to give them a week, I think that's fair.

Good advice, not only is it fair it also shows the new employer that you respect employers.

Are you sure there is nothing written in your contract about a notice period during probation? I'd give them a notice period of one week if that is the case. One week during your probation period is the norm.
