I have some cash in my account for my CGT this year, payable by Dec 15th. Is there a better place to have this money that's completely safe for 3 months? It's low six figures if that makes a difference.

Why don't you just pay the CGT now?

Because you earn the interest if you keep it.

Well the OP wants to know where to put it to keep it safe. Safest place is in Revenue's bank account. If his concern was earning money off it he would've asked that.

It thought it was obvious I wanted to earn off it. The other concern is that I might get the opportunity to harvest some losses and reduce my overall payment so I don't want to pay all I owe right now.

It's called reading between the lines.

To answer the OP question, interest rates are rock bottom. Euro government bonds are hardly worth investing in., Risk and return are very closely coupled so you're not going to get a return without accepting some risk

Prize bonds maybe? Even with that amount the amount of potential interest is fairly negligible.

I was going to say the same thing - you might not win anything in the end, but as safe a place as anywhere else to leave the money for a couple of months.
