Speaking Clock shutting down

Thought I'd pay a quick homage to the service that's been around nearly 50 years and is shutting down on Monday, 27th August 2018.

They were talking about it on the Ray D'Arcy Show a few weeks back - apparently calls to the service have greatly declined in recent years.

The number is 1191 if anyone wants to give it one last bash!

No but on Vodafone it's treated as a standard call and taken out of your inclusive minutes. Not sure about other networks. In any case it appears to be gone as calls to the number now just disconnect.

This is what it sounded like

    Hi cnoc,

I'm afraid there is no alternative number, the service is now obsolete.

    Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    Thanks
