I have a few quartz watches and while changing the battery is straight forward I would also like to be able to check for water resistance after battery change without putting it in water and just hoping for the best. There seems to be plenty of gaskets and greases available on eBay but I’m concerned that I might find after fitting that they are poor quality and damage my watch.
