Has anyone figured out the secret to getting these to work?

I've two 32GB sticks, one works, the other just gives an error:
29.9GB Silicon Power, FAT32 formatted, 16k clusters, works fine.
29.6GB Sandisk, FAT32 formatted, 16k clusters, no joy.

On the Sandisk I've tried 32k cluster sizes, have tried it with only one mp3 on it, still no go.

I put my micro 16gb USB in on the day I bought the car and it has worked ever since.
*I must update it with some new material now.

No problems for me either, used a couple of different ones.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

What do you use it for, music? Is it not far easier to have your car paired to your phone? Or does that give you poorer sound quality? It would of course in your home if you have a good sound system, but the systems in most cars are barely adequate.

Bluetooth streaming isn’t great. Sounds perfect, but it’s quite lower for some reason. I’m using iOS and admittedly I haven’t tried it on my iPhone X yet, my experience is with the iPhone 7 streaming.

I’ll try it tomorrow. Should have done it today while cleaning the thing.

Check the volume on the phone and the car system. BT devices can set their own amplification so your car could be at 100% but the phone at 10% since the last time you used an earpiece or something.

I find over bluetooth the Leaf sound system lacks bass. I gave up on it early on.

I bought a Sandisk Connect 32GB USB stick as it has wifi built in and you can connect to it remotely (and upload music). It works fine in my car but the Leaf spits the dummy.

(Before anyone buys one for using in the car, it's got a few caveats and overall I wouldn't recommend it unless you like tinkering)

Very tinny? Then its probably presenting the phone interface to the smartphone vs the media one. They're different profiles and optimized quite differently. Some cars require you to pair them twice while others pair both at the same time. Not sure on the Leaf but worth checking.

Listened to my Armin Van Buren podcast today over Bluetooth, sound was perfect.
I think I may retire my USB stick now to be honest.

Obviously I had the sound levels mis-matched last time I checked, thanks ED E.
