The Hands and indices on the lighter colour dialled GSs blow me away. And yet I’m still not sold on the design of a lot of them. As impressive as the snowflake is, it sits in this weird awkward place for me that’s neither a dress watches or a sports watch. It’s still amazingly finished. The likes of the quartz SBGV205/207 are just ridiculous for the price.

I honestly think for quality alone a grand Seiko surpasses Rolex and omega .it certainly receives a lot more hours of hand on attention during its build than the other two brands.if the grand Seiko had been marketed as a lifestyle product or an aspirational product instead of trying to promote on quality alone it Could of been held in the same esteem as Rolex by the general public

I'd go further and say it surpasses anything the Swiss produce, outside of crazy money one offs.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I'd definitely have a GS over a Rolex personally speaking.

Weirs are an AD for grand Seiko so I dont think there would be any problem. I assume with a spring drive you would send it back to Japan.

The second hand sweep on the spring drive looks amazing
