Let my dog out for her evening pee 30 minutes ago and after hearing alot of commotion went out to find her at a poor little hedgehog, seemed she had dug around it and was trying to knock it on its side.

The little fella has been curled in a ball for the last 20 minutes, should I just leave him be? He doesn't seem damaged, just shocked.

It's probably ok if there are no quills on the dog.
Leave him for now and check again later/tomorrow morning.

I'll check back again in an hour just before I head off to bed.

If the dog managed to bite him before he curled up, he could have injuries to his belly, head or legs. Have a read through this thread, there are quite a few contact details for different wildlife rescue organisations, they'd be able to give you better advice.

He was gone when I went to check on him before bed last night, didn't look like there was any blood when I went out to check the area this morning, I reckon the little guy is ok. Will keep an eye out for him though.
