I.T. recruitment in Ireland - Is there a preferred agency?

I have a friend moving to Ireland and he just texted me about I.T. recruitment agencies in Ireland, asking would I know any good one(s).

I could send him the first 4 or 5 google results, but I couldn't tell him if any of them were any good.
I am not sure if he is looking for networking or software, and I am guessing there is a preferred agency for either.

Are there any preferred agencies, or are they all pretty useless?

It mostly depends on the individual recruiter, rather than the entirety of the agency.

Depends on his experience and what sector of I.T he is looking to go into, plus his location. There's an absolute ****load of I.T based jobs and recruiters out there, if he has his CV up on Monster, Indeed, Irish Jobs, Linked in etc then the recruiters won't be long getting in touch with him.

I was in between IT jobs and I lost count of the amount of recruiters that were ringing or emailing me or messaging me on Linkedin from seeing my CV on the various job search sites.

If u want to live in Dublin. Its insane the number of roles up there, but outside of that you have a handful in other regions.

I'm in Cork and there's loads of roles here, seems to be a fair few in Limerick and Galway too

It's preferred not to use an agency, but rather to apply direct. Employers don't need to pay an extra 20% to hire you then.
