Laptop to tv via hdmi

    Hi folks.
    I have my laptop connected to tv with hdmi to watch netflix. Is there anyway to use the sound on the laptop as the TV sound quality is really poor.

    Not sure if this will work, but (assuming you're running windows 10), if you right click on the speaker icon in the task bar (bottom right).

    Select Sounds. While it's plugged in via hdmi select speakers and click set as default below.

    EDIT: Found this video, but the tutorial is for Windows 7.

    That worked a treat.
    Next flat screen I buy will definitely have front facing speakers or at least an audio output socket.
