Other options for lump sum deposit?

    Apart from 0.5-0.75% deposit rates are there any other options for lump sums for the short to medium term which will be used to buy a house when a suitable one is found?

    nope. banks are charged 0.40% on their overnight deposits with the ECB, so why would they pay you(or me) any way decent return?


    why do you think stock markets are flying? money is looking for a return & hoping stock market will give that

    if you need that cash for a deposit then stick it in a low interest deposit account.
