Has any primary school teachers here recent experience with the Bike to Work scheme? My paperwork was received and processed by the DOE on Monday and I was just wondering when I can expect to get a call from the Bike Store to say I can collect the bike. Am I talking days or weeks?

With two months to go on this year's scheme, the cost of the bike will be taken out of your pay (before tax deductions) by the end of October. Just so you know! They refused my application last year as there wasn't enough time left to spread my payments and make it easy every fortnight. Got it at the start of this year instead.

The bike shop I went for didn't call me, I rang them every few days to see if the money cleared. I'd say expect it to take two or three weeks.
