On one of the glorious days in July, I was at a wedding where drinks were served outside from a vintage type van and there were games, giant Jenna, connect 4 and scrabble.
It was great fun with a great atmosphere.
But then if the weather wasn't good it's have been wasted.

I’ve never said after a wedding wasn’t the photo booth, candy cart, casino table, magician etc great. They certainly didn’t take away from it but they don’t really enhance the night. People just want a good meal, good music and fun with their friends.

I came across this yesterday and thought it was a deadly idea.

Do the majority of guests notice/use these extras at weddings or is it a waste of money? Getting married in Dec this year with approx 180 guests. We haven't organised magicians, candy carts, photo booths etc.

Will people think our wedding is boring? I am hoping all our friends/family will just enjoy the chance to have a bit of a catch up as they don't get to see each other too often. We have a great venue, excellent band, all the usual stuff. It's certainly enough for me.

Personally, I think they are a waste. My sister had all that crap at hers, even a cigar table, and was looking for feed back from everyone on them. Spend the money on music and food, people won't need to go looking for the candy cart then.

Honestly nobody cares, as I said earlier they don’t take away from it but I’ve never thought afterwards that it was a better wedding because of these things. Food and music is all that really matters. Feed your guests well and give them music they can enjoy and your on the pigs back. Best of luck with it.

Omg, never heard of a cigar table! Seems quite niche.

We can include directions to the nearest Centra Pick n Mix with the invites :D

    Nothing worse than forced fun.

I think organised fun is a waste too. Put money behind the bar, that's much more appreciated.
