Mazda dealer upgrade to Android Auto \Apple Carplay

    According to this press release

    Mazda are now offering an upgrade to Android Auto and Apple Car play for all owners with the MZD comment media system (2014 on I think)

    Has anyone tried it ? Any experience re cost, how effective it is ?

    €295 installed in Joe Duffy, consisting of;
    Cable C830-V6-60Z is about €85
    Connects hub to head unit.

    Hub TK78-66-9U0C about €115
    ( replaces USB port panel in armrest)

    Software install.

    Given the amount of work to pop off all the panels from the armrest, controller, gearshift, side footwell, dash trim and head unit removal, plus the correct sequence of software updates with the correct region software, the extra €95 over the price of the parts seems great value for a 90 minute dealer fit.
