    Hi all,
as in the title, 455d board, 787741 reciver, 787452 remotes (XT4433RC) all new parts.
Watched all the youtube vids, done some serious research online and with FAAC online help, but still no joy.
it goes through the motions for programming but when you finish it does not work. tried resetting the remotes (p1 & p2 pressed together for 5 seconds) and the receiver (pressing the learn button untill it flashes).
is it possible to have 2 slave remotes?
    any ideas?
or recommend FAAC installer/troubleshooter in the Clare/Limerick area.
gates open and close on test mode and all photocells have been bypassed to rule them out.

From memory (and it was a long time ago) all I did was ensured that the dip switches in the fob were in the same position as on the receiver (in the control panel).

Put all dip switches down in both units just to get it working. Then go with a less predictable sequence.

Not sure if this is your issue or not but some receivers need to be installed with power off so try disconnecting the receiver, disconnect power, reconnect reciever, reconnect power and then try programming

Yeah. You’d be surprised (or not) how many times this works.
Some receivers do require installation with the panel dead though

Thanks 2011, I read your post, and hoped it was something like this I had missed! I skipped home like a child on Christmas eve, but alas there are no dip switches anywhere. but I hope it is something like this i have overlooked. any other ideas?

thanks meercat, it was a good idea. but I was sure the receiver had been fitted before power was brought to the board. but being desperate, I followed you suggestion and crossed my fingers. but still no joy, any other ideas?

The kit you have will be rolling code so no DIPs for security.

Can you post a picture of the codes on the back of the remote and also the green sticker on the connector block of the receiver board?
I have seen these to be supplied in the wrong frequency before which will cause issues like you're having. Otherwise they are fairly bulletproof.

I had a similiar issue with my faac 4 button 433 hz remote. Turns out the remotes are a rolling code type and not cloneable. The panel on the gate control must be removed to gain access to the card. You pair the remote with card directly somehow. The info on the net wasnt correct.
A few weeks after i bought the spare remote i had to get a service guy out as i had a intercom issue and he programmed it for me.

Thanks Shane, I’m in the same boat have to take the Cover off the box to access the receiver, and then try programming it. All the programming videos I watched on the net don’t seem to work in my case all goes well until you attempt to open the gate with the remote control then nothing happens

OK well them remotes are compatible with that card.

    Try the following:
    1) Hold down the small button on the radio card for more than 20 seconds. This will clear the radio card completely.
    2) Hold down the top right and bottom left buttons of the remote for 10 seconds. This will clear the remote completely.
    3) Push the button on the radio card once and the red LED will light.
    4) Hold down the button on the remote that you wish to program for 3-4 seconds.
    5) Wait 10 seconds for the LED to go off on the radio card and then try your remote. If you hear a click and see the red LED come on on the radio card when you push the button you programmed then it is programmed correctly.

See how that goes for you.

Thanks irishfire. I think I have done that, but I will try it again this evening.

    hi irishfire,
this was the same procedure I had been following, but last night after another 20 or so tries, one of the remotes, paired! while I going through step (4) the red light on the receiver flashed twice (something which had never happened before)
so now I could go into learning mode with soft close (press the button on the remote when you want the gate to slow down and again to stop, then same for the other leaf. all went fine, pressed F to exit when finished and flashing had stopped. but to my dismay, the light on the receiver flashed and first of the 2 (zeros) on the main board had the top left segment light up, along with the top and bottom segments, but nothing else. the gates did not open:(
also I was unable to program the second remote from the first using this youtube videos procedure.
hi idea what im doing wrong

Well I finally got the gates to work! After studying many many manuals, I saw that some use 12,13 &19 connected to bypass photocells, but one used 11, 12, 13 & 15. Used this and they work! Now have to figure out how to make two different types of photocell work together, after I add the Ariel, flashing light and electric lock on the ground. But first and more importantly I need to figure out how to program the second remote. Following the online guide has had no success so far. Is possible to have two slave remotes?

If my life depended on it, I could not get the so-called master to program the slave remote. So I went back to the control board and the receiver, and would you believe it, first time remote control programs. So now I have two remote working, so no more his or her fighting. Also managed to wire in the 220 V flashing light that came with a built-in siren, not mentioned on the spec, that nearly frightened me to death. this only leaves two different types of photocells to be met compatible,The ground lock, and the aerial
