I have just accepted a course offer from Maynooth. I was wondering if anybody can offer any insight on the first day of college. E.g. What do I need to bring, notepad or laptop?

Notepad definitely, laptop wasn't needed when I went but if you're going to be one of those click clackers typing along on a MacBook Pro during a lecture than it would be a good time to get to grips with it (I jest).

My first few days were just attending a few small talks from the heads of the departments, this was TCD mind. Bring a copy of your registration cert, ID and maybe proof of address to get your student ID sorted out. Try to do that early too, when I got mine done, it was 10am and relatively quiet, but come 3pm it was all out chaos.

    Enjoy college!
