Moving an air con unit

I'm not quite sure if this is the correct forum but here goes. I have a Mitsubishi Mr Slim SUZ-KA unit mounted on the wall outside of my premises. It was installed just over 4 years ago. The owner of a neighbouring premises would like me to move it a small distance (at his expense) to help him with compliance with fire regs.
What I would like to know is if this is likely to cause any long term damage or reduce the life span or should it be just left where it is?
When it was installed it was just an alley with blank walls on either side but since then my neighbour has put in windows across from the unit one of which does not open fully.
    TIA

if done right then no issue, maybe look at upgrading the gas to be more eco friendly?

    Thanks.
Is there anywhere I can check that the contractor that he uses is qualified for the job?

It may still be under warranty ( not sure about that actual unit ) - you are right to be careful about who does the work.

How about asking him to use the original installer that put it in for you ?

Otherwise see that a Mitsi accredited installer is used

Use your own contractor. If neighbour wants it moving you call the tune

My original contractor has retired without passing his business on. I'm reluctant to use any contractor that I have any arrangement with as they might get shafted by my neighbour (yes he's that kind of guy).

I like the idea of getting a Mitsi accredited installer and getting them to certify the work afterwards.

In which case, get a quote from someone you want to do the work. Give to neighbour, when he pays you, get the work done.

I like that idea. A colleague has a Mitsi accredited installer who has done work for him that I can contact. I never thought of getting him to pay for the work upfront. :o
