    I have been looking on

    carsireland.ie
    cbg.ie
    carzone.ie
    beepbeep.ie

and was wondering what people's opinion is.

I find carsireland.ie easier to use than the others, they seem to have more of the cars i am looking for, and i prefer the layout of the results page.

    Donedeal is best.

Totally depends on the price range of cars your searching for and whether your buying privately or from a dealer. For private mid to low value cars then donedeal but if your buying a high value car from a dealer then the likes of carzone, etc.

    Carzone would have mainly dealers.

    Why fixed on just dealers?

What type of car, year and budget???

    Dondeal.

For buying you could look at the others.

But for selling, hardly anyone looks at anything other that Donedeal so you'd be wasting your time.

AutoTrader used to be a big thing. It's dead now. Same as Buy & Sell.

What I meant is when looking in the UK I use autotrader and in Ireland donedeal.

I'm sure they have their fingers in many pies.

I'm sure I discussed this before where years ago I was dealing myself and found carzone great but they shot themselves in the foot charging 39.99 if I recall correctly.

Everyone moved over to donedeal then.

I sold most off carzone and their original graphics were very easy to navigate and they became too greedy I feel.

Oh I see now what happened Autotrader. Still, carzone only has a small fraction of the market compared to DD.

What on earth ever happened to Buy and Sell? It used to be a big thing but it seems to be no more.
Did it fail to keep up with the times and simply go extinct or has it morphed or merged with something else?

Always sold higher end €20/30,000 cars on Carzone without issue.

    It is dealer heavy though.

They couldn't compete as they were too slow moving to the net.

I believe they are appliances direct now.
