If a trading website you use for buying and holding stocks goes bust how save are your shocks ?  How do we know that they are not been taken in charge by the dealing company as their assets?
When you buy shares with such a website and the share have a dividend is it possible to tick to reinvest the dividend automatically ?

You basically asked how safe is my money in a bank. Obviously your money would be safer in Bank of America than in Royal Princely Safe Bank of Nigeria.
