    1. Is the Hose Pipe Ban still in place? - Cork
    The national Hosepipe Ban is still in effect and will remain in place until August 31st at the earliest. Any updates to this ban will be published on both @IWCare and on our website.

    2. Have you implemented or even considered a Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Strategy?
    Climate change is currently a key consideration of our water resource and wastewater planning. We are implementing measures to adapt to future climate and develop a resilient, low carbon water and wastewater service. We are committed to improving our energy efficiency by 33%; this is a key mitigation measure of our climate change policy.

    To identify catchments most sensitive to climate change, we are currently conducting a study on the sensitivity of Irish catchments to climate change. This research is in conjunction with the ICARUS team at NUI Maynooth. This research will be completed early 2019 and will be published. The findings of this research are informing Irish Water's climate change mitigation and adaptation strategy.


    3. Can I get a reissue of a cheque for the water charge refund in a parent’s name if they are unable to contact you?
    Would you mind sending us a PM with the below details?

    - The account number that the cheque is associated with;
    - The account holder's name and;
    - The address of the property which the charges were paid to;
    - Your own address; &
    - Your own contact number.

    We would like to send you a form, which once filled in and returned, will allow us to add your details to your parent’s account and re-issue the expired cheque.


    4. Can I hook my karcher pressure washer up to a 10l bucket of water during the Hose Pipe ban?

    The hose pipe ban only applies to the use of a hose directly from your mains water supply. As this is supplied from a bucket it wouldn't be subject to the hose pipe ban.


    5. I sent you an indemnity form a couple of weeks ago in relation to the water refund and I was wondering if you have any update?
