Hi I am a full time counsellor in a school and will now be working privately as well for a few hours at the weekend for a career consultation company. How will this affect my pay or will it? Do I need to contact revenue to sort out tax? Not sure how I’ll be taxed now I’ll have two incomes coming in. One public and one private .

    Any advice appreciated

If the new company are paying you then they should withhold your PAYE & PRSI contributions.
If you are going self employed then you'll have to do a tax return yourself and pay up whats due.
