AWD 4x4 Estate

Hi, looking for a 4wd estate / saloon diesel to do c35k km a year

Commute crosses the Wicklow gap and has some mileage during the day. Thinking a scooby Outback or Forrester might fit the bill. Any other suggestions i am missing? The Car will get some family action over the weekend's too

Last time i had to commute across the gap I had a 7 seat pajero and wasn't happy with its road holding so the new bus needs to have drivability high in its skills.

Assuming at that mileage you are going diesel. Diesel powered Scoobies have well documented issues, so thread carefully and do your research.
Admittedly the XC70 is thin on the ground here. Quiet popular in the Uk so could be an option to import ?

Something Allroad / Quattro also worth a look.

I think budget kills the quattro as much as id want one.

2010 seems to be when Subaru got the diesel right. Was reading some uk reviews, so the aim is +2010

I'll check uk for the xc, I see that one on DD had high tax, i wonder was it pre budget or were the emissions that high on them?
