Route advice foe Dublin Port

Hi all, i am hoping you can give me a bit of help.

I am getting a ferry from Dublin Port in the morning and im aiming to be at the Port at 7.30. I will be driving from the west so at that time in the morning which would be the best route: Port Tunnel or The Quays? What do you guys reckon the travel time would be from say Liffey valley to the port at that time?

Use the Port Tunnel as the Quays will be a disaster. Will cost you €10 but well worth it.

Google maps has a tool where you can get directions to arrive at a location by a specified time.

To arrive at Dublin Port by 0730 leaving Liffey Valley, it's giving 26-35mins via M50/Port Tunnel, and 30 mins - 1hr 5mins down the quays.



M50 will cost you the West Link toll, and a tenner for the Port Tunnel at that hour - might make a difference?

Thanks a million. Im not a fan of driving along the quays at any time but wasnt sure how busy they'd be a 7/7.30

The tolls will be worth t to avoid missing the ferry!!

The quays at that hour could be fine, or could go horribly wrong - and if they go wrong you've nowhere to go!


M50 much more forgiving (although that can go haywire as well). Definitely a safer bet, unless you fancied setting off and arriving a bit earlier.
