Our plan for our wedding is to have a small lunch with close family and friends (max 20 people) then follow with a big party (approx 120-150 people) where we can invite all our friends, work colleagues etc. I’m looking for venue suggestions in Dublin for the bigger party.

Fallon & Byrne ticks the boxes. Good restaurant and then up to the top floor for a party. Have been at full weddings including dinner and also just the party in the venue.

I had thought of them for the party but not for the dinner but would be great to do both in same venue!

We photographed a wedding recently in Beaufield Mews, Stillorgan. Similar set up to yours with bulk of the crowd coming in the evening around 6pm after the main meal.

We had our wedding in The Morisson and it was fantastic. They do lots of events there, loads of space for 120-150 for an evening party I'd say. Their evening platters are amazing. They're fab to work with too. Location is great, smack bang on the quays.

We looked at F&B but it's a small enough space, you'd be hard pushed to get 150 in there with a dancefloor and all that. Plus we didn't like the fact that smokers (although we only had a few) basically needed to go out and smoke downstiars. We felt it'd break the party up a bit. Morisson has a covered private smoking area, right next to the dancefloor.

Thank you. I’m from out that way so will have to check them out.

I was at a wedding there and the food was probably the best I've ever had at a wedding.

I would agree that Fallon and Byrne and Events Venue at the Mansion House are a great choice. Would be great to do both in the same venue, we did so (in Kerry) and it was so much easier!!! Less time is lost travelling between venues etc
