Student photographer portfolio opportunity.

    Hi,

    I am looking to get a photographer for my upcoming wedding but I would like to give a student the opportunity to shoot the photos so they can build up work for their portfolio.

    Would anyone know of a student looking to do some work?

    Based in Dublin city centre

    You might be better getting a photographer who would care about getting your wedding photos right than a student whose doing it for free and thinks "so what if they aren't perfect"

    Why not 'just' pay for the services you want instead of exploiting someone or sponging off a student?

    Harsh. People gotta start somewhere. You don't just start charging thousands of €€€ right off the bat without being able to show some experience and a portfolio with real weddings/couples.

    OP never said they wouldn't pay btw. They only said they are looking for a student photographer. That doesn't mean free... cheap, yes... free... well that depends on the photographer if they are willing to do that. One would hope they value themselves enough though to at least be charging a few hundred.

    Will OP give negative feedback (excuse the pun) if the pictures arent delivered on time or of a sufficiently good quality.

    Will the photographer take the shots and then spend days / weeks working on them and then realise their time is worth more than "exposure" and then decide feck that. Is there any comeback there?

    If you dont have a budget for a photographer, Get your friends to take photos, take a couple nice ones by a tree/river/fancy wall/bridge. Job sorted.
