    Hello there,

I have a Seiko kinetic watch 5M63 to give to an experienced hobbyist.
The watch needs a "small" maintenance; The stem is broken due to rust, so you have to buy a new stem and crown...

and you should be able to reassemble the watch as ALL the parts are apart. I said ALL the parts (hands are still in place), they are in good condition, I was very careful to keep them without damaging.
Moreover I give a new Seiko capacitor still in the blister. (for 5M62, 5M63, 5M65), bought it £26.78 one week ago.

If nobody want it, it will go to the recycling bin
    Collection in Galway area.

    In return, I'd appreciate some advices as I need to buy another one;
    Features I'd like are:
    For man
    Analogue hour
Quartz without battery but capacitor (same as Seiko kinetic)
or maybe solar, I need more info about the real usage of it in Ireland.
    Casual style
Day and date (could be LCD) perpetual should be very nice as I always forgot to change the date every 2 months
    Metal strap
Is it possible to use a Radio-Controlled in Ireland? Could be nice.

Not too large diameter and thick, not sport with a lot of hands, dials or diver systems
    New for max €150

Is it possible to get it at this max price? Where can I have the best price?

    Thank you

    Would you consider solar?

This isn't exactly what you are looking for, just the result of a quick search

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seiko-Solar-Diver-200m-SNE109-orange-non-prospex/253772371539?hash=item3b16031653:g:V8IAAOSw52tbYK6j

I know it is £200 but they're open to offers. I'll be in Galway monday week if it's not gone already.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    Thanks blue5000,
Yes, I'd consider solar but I'd like to get more info about the real usage.

I think the specifications about the time a solar can run without charging is the same as the car makers about the fuel consumption; tests and real life are very different.
Living in Ireland, sun is occasional and I mainly wear long sleeves that hide watch. So let say, if I place the watch on a window sill for few months, what about the capacitor charge? increase or decrease or the watch stop?
I know I could charge in front of a bulb but this is not the aim.

About your link, this is not the style I like, moreover I'd prefer a brand new one.
Could you post few links of trusted, best prices online shops?

Let me know when you'll be in Galway. Usually I am in city center every Tuesday.

I found only one brand that propose a watch with the features I'd like and an affordable price.
    Casio ref
    LCW-M100-1AER
    LCW-M100-2AER
    and
    LCW-170-1AER
but this last is too expensive.

What do you think about the brand Casio, quality/price?
    and solar, radio-control?

Where should I buy online with the best price? Is it possible to negotiate?

    Thank you

You won’t go wrong with Casio. I have a G-shock that is solar and is radio controlled. It’s never let me down. It picks up the time signal every night at 2.02am for me. I have found the last watch you like on Amazon.de for €175. It’s a little over budget but if it’s the one you really like then I’d say get it. Obviously no issues with buying from Amazon.
