Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sinquefield Cup 2018

The 2018 Sinquefield Cup starts this evening in Saint Louis, Missouri.
This will probably be Magnus Carlsen's last tournament before the World Championship match in November.

    Tonight's pairings are:
    Aronian v Karjakin
    Vachier-Lagrave v Carlsen
    Nakamura v Anand
    Mamedyarov v So
    Caruana v Grischuk

So for a change Magnus and his challenger don't meet in round one.
Carlsen will have White against Caruana in round 7.

You can follow the games and online commentary from 7pm for 10 days (except rest day on Thursday). I watch on chess24 but other sites probably carry the same feed.
