Good to see how cool and down to earth this guy is, giving time to tech YouTubers..

Battery tech part was pretty interesting

Not much improvement expected over next few years

Marques owns a P100D and was first in line to put down a deposit on a new Roadster.

Good interview in that it wasn’t the usual types of questions he gets asked.

    Wouldn't say it was good

It was a fan boy interview

Elon is not a great interviewee anyway

Answers 5 questions vaguely when asked one

Prefer listen to JB, he's the more Wozniac, Elon gets lost up in thought

Of course it was a fan boy interview. Overstating the obvious much?

Musk is an honest interviewee and tries to explain his answers with more answers on related subject.

I didn't think it was a riveting interview, but it is good to see someone with such a tight schedule giving time to a youtuber.

    Stay Free

When I said good I meant he didn’t ask the obvious cruff questions about EV benefits. If it was a CNN or someone else it would have been way worse.

It was nice to see and it's good in a way Elon talks in Layman and goes off topic alot

I prefer the JB and Jeff Dahn interviews from Tesla myself as they are alot less brain scattered

That youtuber has millions of followers, follow him myself, Bjorn, Nick and few others

He's a great advertisement for Tesla and EVs

Surely it was all prearranged. Brownlee must have a shrine to Musk in his house.

Elon Musk is the biggest fraud alive. Lots of people treat him like a genius. Most of what he says sounds futuristic and cool, but has little to no merits at present. He's just trying to hype people into buying his overrated cars and other merchandise. Take Vitalik Buterin, a true genius, who has exposed Elon Musk as having absolutely no knowledge of what he talks about on multiple occasions.

first saw him in the big bang theory, didn't know who he was. telsa rocket, car electric his dad married someone. Then he called one of the heroes who saved the kids in thailand a peado. What an absolute douche. I see he's a druggie now. the world won't miss him.

Not if you ask him hard questions. His reaction to the earnings interview earlier this year shows his true attitude

You forgot the part where he revolutionised shopping by creating PayPal. Like it or not but that really made a huge difference to people selling and buying online

Never mind that poster. Total troll. There are problems with spambots on twitter looking for ETH. Musk mentioned that and Vitalik was understandably disappointed that Musks first tweet about ETH was about these spambots. That's all there is to it.

Wasn't a great interview, mostly down to the Pat Kenny Late Late Show style interviewing complete with lack of eye contact and prepared questions. But that's not Musk's fault... I thought he did quite well considering.

Jeez, that's Irish style begrudgery. He's not Bono you know.

By hiring a talented team and getting kicked out nearly a year before PayPal launched?

I've worked for too many companies where junior/middle/senior management, executives and board members do not have a clue about the product or the process.

Respect to Elon, he knows the process inside out

Musk really landed himself in it here.

    The excuse given is laughable.

Where does this leave Musk now? I presume he can still pull the strings just in a different fashion.
He seemed like he was having a breakdown of late, due to being overworked. Maybe this will give him a bit of breathing space.

Leaves him in much the same place but $20m lighter. He’s still CEO.

    He's still CEO.
This is not an impact at all. It gives him 3 years to go mad on twitter rants. The fine is a drop in the ocean.

I know they planned on going out looking for further funding, or so the discussion was...I would say it might be a little harder now than a few months ago

With him relinquishing the Chairman role I think raising funds would be easier as its something that shareholders were looking for anyway.

If he posts a profitable Q3 and Q4 I'd say raising capital for new products (not the existing ones) would be easier now, not harder, as the new Chairman should run it more professionally and transparently.... which is what investors will want to see.

Actually, one of the agreed remedies, is that his twitter posts most now first go through the companies lawyers for review before getting published, which is probably no harm for him.

Otherwise I agree that it will have little impact on the company.

I'd say that overall the agreement seems to be tailored to deal with Musks weaknesses, while keeping his drive at the company and strengthening the company overall.

And the stock price is way up, so the market seems to agree.

I read this morning that the stock gains more than outweigh the minimal fine anyway.
I actually think it's a positive organisational change, and I was joking about the twitter rants :D:D
