I have read this forum extensivelsy and everyone appears very helpful and willing to give constructive advice but i notice that very little in the way of training or information sources comes up so with regards to all the different types of renewable energy systems on offer to homeowners/builders, can anyone steer me in the direction of any up to date books, training courses or any other information sources that might give a general understanding of all the options and the pros and cons of each. Ideally something that is aimed at homeowners or selfbuilders please, im at the early planning stages of a build project and dont like making decisions on anything unless i know i am well informed, i will obviously be getting professional advice and employing the relevant people but i want to understand it myself as i tend not to give complete trust to anyone when they are unknown to me? I know that reading a book or learning some small amount will never compare to a lifetimes working experience but i just want a general understanding of all the options so i can make an informed decision and have some chance of knowing if i am being fed a line of B.S. by someone that has a hidden agenda. Thanks in advance.
