We have a very large tree that needs cutting back, it’s the height of a 2 story house and about 10 ft wide. We don’t want it gone altogether, but significantly cut back.
Have seen people mention figures of 300 or so, is that what it costs? Want to get it done properly by someone trained but we can’t pay that much.

Tree surgeons have expensive insurance and tend not to work alone for obvious safety reasons.

100/tree is typical but for one tree it would be more.

Depending on the type of tree you may be better off taking it down.

When getting quotes be clear about what you want done with the clippings and logs.
