Application form question

I am filling out a job application

The form asks for 2 "Employer references"

I can give my current manager - however after that I struggle a bit - I can possibly give a senior manager in the same company as I worked in a different role in the company with the Senior Manager. Does that sound ok though? 2 Managers in the same company? - My employer previous to this company has closed down and the one before that is quite a long time ago

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Yes, that's fine.

But are you ok giving references from the company you currently work in? That won't cause any problems for you?

Yes. Its just really that I think 2 separate employers is better! But as I said above that might be difficult.

Could you find your old managers on LinkedIn?
