No stop at Enfield back into Dublin ...why?

    Having walked from kilcock to Enfield yesterday I had the idea to get the train back only to find the train doesn't stop at Enfield on the way back ...why not and will it change in the near future?

    according to timetable 9 trains go form Enfield to Kilcock Monday to Friday

    All services stop at Enfield these days. What service were you intending to get back?

    About 5.30 pm- maybe it was just the day I went just looked on time table and there is a train today that stops in Enfield at 5.28 on and one about 8.30 pm back into Dublin

    What made you think there was no service?

    If you arrived after 17:25 you would of just missed a Dublin bound train. There is 4 departures for Sligo and Longford before the next Dublin train is due. As there is only 1 platform and looking at the RTI board (If there is one) that would only show next 2 or 3 departures suggesting there is no more Dublin services as it would be the 5th on the list of next arrivals and not for another 3hrs.

    A few years ago the 17.00 ex Sligo didn't stop at Enfield but this was has been discontinued and on Sundays the 15.00 ex Sligo didn't stop at around 17.30 either. Now I hope its not the case they have not updated the timetable over the last 5 years at the station....

    Whats more shocking is the 15.00 (Mon-Sat) takes a 16 minutes longer than a few years ago.
